How Your Contribution Makes a Difference  

Your support enables BIASC to provide vital services and programs to individuals who face daily challenges navigating life after brain injury.  

In 2023 alone, BIASC: 

  • Distributed 250 resource-filled tote bags to patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) at our state's level 1 trauma centers. 

  • Trained 374 law enforcement officers in assisting individuals with brain injury. 

  • Supported over 250 individuals on our toll-free helpline.  

  • Assisted 967 participants through eight brain injury support groups statewide. 

  • Provided 1,870 concussion management manuals to families, schools and medical professionals. 

  • Attended 22 outreach events to educate about concussions in youth through our Brain Injury Safety Net Project 

  • Hosted the Life with Brain Injury conference attended by over 200 people and provided 34 scholarships to caregivers and survivors. 

  • Offered online yoga, painting, and other art classes to survivors including our Unmasking Brain Injury Project. 

  • Delivered resources to veterans, addressed the opioid epidemic, and provided resources on brain injury and interpersonal violence though various outreach efforts.
