Make a difference by donating today!

March is Brain Injury Awareness Month in S.C., a time dedicated to highlighting the prevalence and impact of brain injury in our communities. Help support vital programs and services for those affected by brain injury, providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and improve the lives of those living with brain injury in S.C. Join us in our efforts by donating today.

Your Support

BIASC works tirelessly to provide programs and advocacy for individuals impacted by brain injury and their families. Without the support of community members and organizations, we would be unable to offer the free resources, support programs, and educational services that are available statewide.

Your generous donation makes a significant impact:

  • $25 sends a resource toolkit, including the "Living with Brain Injury-A Practical Guide," to individuals reaching out to our helpline for support in managing life after a brain injury.

  • $40 provides a concussion toolkit, including an SC REAP Manual, to school professionals, nurses, physicians, or families seeking guidance on managing concussions.

  • $50 connects brain injury survivors or family members with Certified Brain Injury Specialists and Resources at BIASC, offering vital help and hope.

  • $100 funds the Brain Injury Fundamentals Training, offering essential education and support to caregivers.

Your contribution directly supports individuals and families affected by brain injury across S.C.

About Brain Injury

Whether it's a loved one, a friend, or a colleague, chances are, you know someone who has been affected by a brain injury. With 5.3 million Americans currently living with disabilities resulting from traumatic brain injuries, and someone sustaining a brain injury every 9 seconds, the scale of this issue is staggering.

Every year in South Carolina alone, 11,500 individuals visit the Emergency Department, with 2,800 being admitted to the hospital and discharged. Tragically, 1,117 individuals lose their lives as a result of traumatic brain injury.

Despite medical advancements, brain injuries remain a silent epidemic. The lack of awareness about prevention and the ongoing challenges faced by those living with brain injuries highlight the urgent need for support and action.

You can be part of the solution. Your tax-deductible contribution to BIASC, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, can make a real difference. By donating, you're not only helping us in our mission to support individuals with brain injuries but also assisting your own community - your family, friends, and colleagues.

Donate today to help bring us one step closer in our mission to create a better future through brain injury prevention, research, education, and advocacy.
