Seeking caregivers for a focus group study

Researchers in the Department of Human Nutrition at The University of Alabama are recruiting caregivers of individuals with brain injury to participate in a paid research opportunity.  

Ashley Heinrich, a doctoral student under the mentorship of Drs. Joy W. Douglas and Linda L. Knol, invite you participate in a study called “From TBI to Table: An Application of the Food Choice Process Model.” This study wants to explore food behaviors and food choice among caregivers of people with brain injury.

Who can participate? 
Anyone 19 years or older who is a caregiver of an individual with moderate or severe brain injury. Participants need to have internet access to join Zoom sessions. 

 

What will they do? 
Individuals who choose to participate will:

  1. Complete an online survey (15 minutes).

  2. Participate in a one-hour focus group with other caregivers.

  3. Provide email feedback after the focus group (optional).

What are the benefits of participating? 
Participants will receive $25 for completing the online survey and Zoom focus group. 

 Participation will be kept confidential and is completely voluntary. Participants may withdraw from the study at any time.  Interested? Please click below to complete the survey.
